Wissam Abou Ali left out of Al Ahly's pre-season squad

Al Ahly have excluded striker Wissam Abou Ali from their pre-season squad in Tunisia amid growing speculation about his future at the club.

Following a standout performance at the FIFA Club World Cup, Abou Ali has attracted interest from other teams, with reports linking him to a potential transfer.

Despite this, the Palestinian forward was notably absent from the group that recently arrived in Turkey for pre-season preparations.

Sources indicate that Abou Ali skipped training sessions, seemingly to push for a move after receiving an offer from a Major League Soccer (MLS) club.

In an official statement, Al Ahly confirmed that, together with coach Riveiro, they decided the striker would not be included in the squad.

“Wissam has an offer from a US club that didn’t meet Ahly’s terms. Until now, he remains under contract, but he missed training and the club has enforced its internal regulations,” sporting director Mohamed Youssef told Ahly TV.
