UCL: Noni Madueke brace propels Arsenal to thump Club Brugge 3-0 to maintain unbeaten record

England forward of Nigerian descent, Noni Madueke, scored a brace on Wednesday night, leading Arsenal to a 3-0 victory in the UEFA Champions League as they maintained their unbeaten run in the competition.

Madueke opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a moment of individual brilliance. After picking up the ball, he drove forward and unleashed a stunning long-range strike that cannoned off the top of the right post and into the net, a superb finish that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

Two minutes into the second half, the forward struck again. Martin Zubimendi sent a teasing cross into the box, and after the ball evaded the goalkeeper, Madueke was on hand to head home into the top right corner to double Arsenal’s lead.

Gabriel Martinelli then added the third in the 56th minute, capitalising on poor defending to fire an unstoppable effort into the top right corner, leaving Dani van den Heuvel helpless.

It was another commanding display from Arsenal, with Madueke’s brace proving decisive as the Premier League side continued their strong run in Europe.

The Gunners, now on 18 points after six matches, sit top of the UEFA Champions League league phase table.
