Toulouse: Gradel discusses the reasons behind the poor results

Toulouse, currently 17th in Ligue 1, are facing a worrying slump, having gone seven matches without a win and sitting just one point above the relegation playoff zone. Ahead of their home clash against Dijon on Saturday for Matchday 32, Ivorian striker Max-Alain Gradel spoke about the crucial nature of the remaining fixtures.

“All the remaining matches are extremely important. We can’t afford to drop points at home,” Gradel said at a press conference. “We have to play every match to the fullest, as if it were our last.”

The former Saint-Étienne forward also explained some of the reasons behind Toulouse’s poor run of results. “We have a very young squad, we mustn’t forget that. Young players have less time to learn; they have to perform immediately. It’s not always easy,” he added, highlighting the challenges of relying on an inexperienced team in a highly competitive league.
