Amin Chiakha

Stade Rennais continues to bolster its youth recruiting strategy and has set its sights on Amin Chiakha, a young Danish striker of Algerian descent currently playing for Vejle BK on loan from FC Copenhagen.

Scouts from Rennes attended last weekend’s match between Vejle and Copenhagen (2-0), observing both Lasse Flo and Chiakha. The latter stood out by scoring the winning goal against his former team, further raising his profile in Denmark.

Born in 2006 in Copenhagen, Chiakha received his football education at FCK’s renowned academy before going on loan to gain experience in the Superliga. He’s praised for his combination of power, technique, and early goal-scoring instinct, which has impressed coaches and European clubs alike. Not only Rennes, but also Borussia Dortmund, Mönchengladbach, and Real Sociedad had scouts present at the game.

Chiakha embodies the “high-potential talent” Rennes traditionally seeks, following success stories with players such as Raphinha, Doku, and Camavinga. Rennes may make a move for Chiakha in the upcoming winter transfer window, though Copenhagen holds a recall clause that could complicate negotiations.

At just 19, Chiakha’s name is expected to surface more frequently as the transfer market approaches, with multiple clubs expressing growing interest in the promising star.
