Reda Selim's move from Al Ahly to Wydad Casablanca in doubt as talks breakdown

Transfer negotiations between Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca and Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly over the signing of Reda Selim have reportedly stalled.

Wydad had identified Selim as a key target in the current summer window, aiming to reinforce their squad with seasoned talent ahead of their return to continental action in the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, discussions hit a snag due to financial disagreements, with Al Ahly demanding a fee that Wydad considered excessive.

Complicating matters further is the uncertainty surrounding Selim’s willingness to return to the Moroccan top flight.

While talks have not been entirely abandoned, sources suggest the deal is currently in jeopardy unless a compromise can be reached.

Meanwhile, Wydad have been active in the market, already securing the signings of Abdel Ghafour Lamirat from Olympique d’Asfi, Hamza El Wasti from Ittihad Tangier, and Walid Sabbar from RS Berkane.
