PSV’s Anas Salah El-Din cleared by FIFA to represent Morocco

PSV Eindhoven left-back Anas Salah El-Din has officially received clearance to play for Morocco after completing FIFA’s nationality switch procedures.

Morocco head coach Walid Regragui confirmed during a press conference ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Niger and Zambia that the federation had successfully secured the commitment of a new expatriate player.

While Regragui did not initially reveal the player’s identity, it was later confirmed to be Salah El-Din.

The 22-year-old’s inclusion adds further depth to the Atlas Lions’ options at left-back, where he will compete with Utrecht defender Sofiane El Karouani.

His arrival also extends Morocco’s strong representation in the Dutch Eredivisie, as the team prepares for both World Cup qualifiers and the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
