Nigerian outfit Remo Stars deny sacking head coach Daniel Ogunmodede
Nigerian outfit Remo Stars have swiftly denied the sacking of head coach Daniel Ogunmodede, insisting the latter remains part of the team.
Earlier reports in the media claimed Remo Stars have terminated contract with Ogunmodede. However, the club in a statement has downplayed such claims, urging the public to treat it with the needed contempt it deserves.
According to the club, Ogunmodede remains fully in charge of the team’s technical setup and continues to play an important role in the club’s progress.
Currently, Ogunmodede is embarking on a CAF B coaching course in Abuja as part of his ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning.
“Our Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, remains an integral part of our technical crew and continues to serve as the Head Coach of Remo Stars FC.”
Remo Stars’ next game will be the rescheduled Matchday 10 fixture against Nasarawa United on November 6, 2025, at the Lafia Township Stadium.
The Sky Blue Stars will head into the encounter desperate to end their current four-game losing streak, which includes a disappointing CAF Champions League exit after suffering a heavy 7–1 aggregate defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
