Nigerian forward Terem Moffi makes long-awaited return for OGC Nice after lengthy injury absence

Nigerian forward Terem Moffi is edging toward a January departure from OGC Nice as uncertainty continues to cloud his future at the club.

The striker has not featured for Les Aiglons since he was attacked by a section of the club’s supporters, an incident that has left his situation increasingly delicate.

The 26-year-old has already been ruled out of Nice’s UEFA Europa League clash with Sporting Braga, further fuelling speculation about an imminent move. According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, several Ligue 1 sides are monitoring the situation closely and are prepared to make an approach when the transfer window opens.

Moffi has scored twice in 10 league appearances for Nice this season, with his contributions limited amid the off-field tension.

He joined the club from Lorient in January 2023 and quickly established himself as a key attacking option, but his current circumstances suggest that his time at the Allianz Riviera may be drawing to a close.

With interest mounting across the French top flight, the Nigerian international appears increasingly likely to seek a fresh start when the window reopens in January.
