Nigeria forward Terem Moffi seeking OGC Nice departure after fan ambush incident
Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi is reportedly seeking for a departure from OGC Nice following a troubling fan ambush at the club’s training ground on Sunday.
The recent incident is said to have heightened his desire to leave, with growing uncertainty around his future at the club.
Currently, several French Ligue 1 clubs have are already expressed interest in the striker ahead of the January transfer window. Meanwhile, negotiation for winter departure is expected to intensify in the coming days.
The Nigeria international, who is currently on sick leave, will not feature in tonight’s UEFA Europa League clash against Sporting Braga.
The 26-year-old attacker has scored two goals in 10 league appearances for Les Aiglons across competitions this season.
Moffi joined Nice in summer 2023, with his current with the Ligue 1 club expected to elapse in 2027. Despite having a running contract, the forward is said to be seeking for a move away from the club.
