Nigeria forward Terem Moffi sanctioned ahead of OGC Nice’s Europa League opener

Nigeria international Terem Moffi has been sanctioned ahead of OGC Nice clash against AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League opener.

In a high-stake clash on Wednesday, the French Ligue 1 outfit will play host to the Italian giants in the Europa League opener.

Ahead of the clash, the 26-year-old Nigeria attacker has been sanctioned after going contrary to the club’s disciplinary rules.

Moffi reported late on Monday for team meeting, prompting an immediate sanction ahead of the Europa League.

The forward, who was in line to start against Roma, has now been relegated to the bench as a sign of punishment to the Nigeria star.

Moffi has already lost his place this season to Kevin Carlos, who has nonetheless struggled since joining from Basel.

The Nigeria international has made five appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season, scoring two goals for OGC Nice.
