Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu one card away from suspension in Turkey
Nigeria international attacker Paul Onuachu is one yellow card away from being suspended in the Turkish Super Lig.
The enterprising forward, who plies his trade for Trabzonspor must avoid sanction against Göztepe on Sunday, December 7, 2025 to feature against Besiktas next week.
Currently, Onuachu has three yellow cards and must threat cautiously to escape a fourth yellow card in the Turkish top-flight. He is now a card away from being suspended as Trabzonspor battles Göztepe in a high-stake clash.
Despite the risk, Onuachu remains in top form with 11 goals in 14 matches, leading the golden boot race ahead of Eldor Shomurodov.
His performances have also earned him a place in Nigeria’s 54-man provisional squad for the 2025 AFCON, though he hasn’t played under Eric Chelle since June 2024.
The former KRC Genk star will be hoping to make Nigeria’s final squad for the much-anticipated AFCON tournament to be held in Morocco between December 2025 and January 2026.
