Nicolas Nkoulou: The Cameroonian reprimanded by Torino

Torino President Criticizes Nicolas Nkoulou Over Transfer Dispute

Torino center-back Nicolas Nkoulou has come under fire from club president Urbano Cairo following comments the Cameroonian made about the summer transfer window. Nkoulou expressed regret that the club did not honor a supposed promise to allow him to leave, which Cairo described as “a half-promise made by the former sporting director.”

The 29-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2020, has 75 caps and 2 goals for Cameroon. Despite the tension, Nkoulou has pledged to give his all for Torino this season, though the atmosphere at the club is expected to remain strained.
