Liverpool eyeing move for Ivory Coast defender Wilfried Singo
Ivory Coast international Wilfried Singo has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League giants, Liverpool as the January window approaches.
The 24-year-old secured a move to Galatasaray from AS Monaco during the summer transfer window and has since established himself as a key member of the team. Out of nine games, Singo has made six appearances in the Turkish top-flight, delivering an assist in the process.
Despite spending huge in the summer, the Red are seeking to upgrade their defense with the acquisition of the Ivory Coast star.
The Premier League outfit are struggling to replace Trent Alexander Arnold, who departed the club to Real Madrid in the summer.
Jeremie Frimpong, who joined Liverpool as replacement for Arnold has yet to live up of expectation due to injury setbacks.
According to reports, the Reds has set sights on signing Singo from Galatasaray and are prepared to £50 million for his services.
Singo is contracted to Galatasaray until 2030. However, the six-time Champions League holders will have to spend big to lure the defender.
