Ligue 1 – Caen: Jordan Adéoti out against Toulouse

Jordan Adéoti Out as Caen Faces Crucial Trip to Toulouse

Jordan Adéoti, recently injured during SM Caen’s heavy 1-5 home defeat against Marseille, will miss the team’s upcoming trip to Toulouse this Saturday. The defender, who had just returned to action last weekend, suffered another injury and has been left out of Patrice Garande’s squad for Matchday 36.

Caen’s situation continues to worsen. Humiliated at home by OM, the Normandy club has now become the first confirmed team to face relegation, currently in 18th place, tied on points with 17th-place Dijon. While mathematically survival is still possible, the team is effectively in a playoff spot, set to face the third-placed Ligue 2 team if they finish 18th.

On the road against Toulouse, a side already assured of survival, Caen must secure at least a point to maintain slim hopes of climbing out of the relegation zone. Every remaining match is crucial as the club battles to avoid the drop and secure its Ligue 1 status for the next season.

SM Caen Squad for Toulouse:

  • Goalkeepers: Dreyer, Vercoutre

  • Defenders: Yahia, Da Silva, Imorou, Ben Youssef, Avounou, Bessat

  • Midfielders: Delaplace, Malbranque, Diomandé, Makengo, Féret

  • Forwards: Santini, Rodelin, Karamoh, Sané, Tell

With Adéoti sidelined, Caen will need to rely on squad depth and collective effort to challenge Toulouse and keep their survival hopes alive. The coming matches will be decisive in determining the club’s future in Ligue 1.
