JS Kabylie fans left outside stadium in Cairo hours before kickoff

Just hours before the much-anticipated game, supporters of JS Kabylie experienced a deeply frustrating ordeal in Cairo.

Despite traveling in large numbers to encourage their team, none of the Kabyle fans were allowed to enter the stadium. Gathered in the parking lot, they waited for physical tickets, but no clear instructions or information came from organizers.

Eyewitnesses described the situation as “shameful.” They reported finding no ticket booths or staff to help them access their seats, with local authorities and Al Ahly’s side each shifting responsibility. By 4:30 p.m., a mere ninety minutes before match time, more than 1,200 JS Kabylie fans remained outside, without tickets, answers, or clarity. The disappointment was sharp, especially after the long and costly journey, and expectations of basic hospitality.

Matters worsened when Al Ahly reportedly refused to meet JSK club leaders and Algerian embassy representatives seeking an urgent solution. As a result, JS Kabylie’s supporters faced a major setback, feeling both let down and unfairly treated right ahead of a crucial match. The incident has left a bitter taste and sparked calls for accountability and respect for fans.
