Ivory Coast: Romaric N’Dri and Aurélie Méité Say Yes!
Ivory Coast’s Romaric Ties the Knot in Abidjan
Ivorian international Christian N’dri Koffi, better known as Romaric, has officially bid farewell to bachelorhood. The seasoned midfielder married his longtime partner, Aurélie Méité, in a ceremony held on Tuesday, May 20.
The couple’s union is the culmination of a relationship that began several years ago. Romaric had already paid the traditional bride price for Méité — a mixed-race Ivorian woman — back in December 2013, during a private family ceremony in Abidjan.
Currently playing for Ligue 1 side SC Bastia, Romaric is known for his versatility on the pitch. A reliable figure in midfield, he can operate both in a defensive role or as a central playmaker. His career has spanned clubs across Europe, including notable spells at Sevilla FC and AS Monaco, as well as numerous appearances for the Ivorian national team.
The wedding marks a joyous chapter in the life of the former Elephants star, who has often balanced a demanding professional career with a low-key personal life. Friends, fans, and teammates have extended their congratulations to the couple, wishing them a future filled with love and happiness.
As Romaric prepares for the upcoming football season, he does so with a new title off the pitch: husband.
