Fulham weighs permanent signing of Nigeria attacker Samuel Chukwueze
Premier League outfit Fulham are currently weighing the permanent signing option of Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze following recent top performance.
Chukwueze joined the Premier League club on a season-long loan from Italian giants, AC Milan and has since established himself as a key member of the team.
The former Villarreal star has rediscovered his form since arriving on summer transfer deadline day, delivering five goal contributions for Fulham.
Currently, the Nigeria international has two goals and three assists in his last six Premier League matches for Fulham, signaling a major impact at the club. The forward appears to have regained his form after struggling for form and minutes in Italy.
Fulham will have to spend huge to sign the attacker on a permanent deal. The Cottagers now weigh up whether to trigger their €28 million option to buy from AC Milan.
If Fulham activate the clause, the Nigerian winger would become one of the club’s most expensive signings, sitting behind Kevin, Emile Smith Rowe, Jean Michaël Seri and Joachim Andersen.
The 2015 U17 World Cup winner has also earned major praise for his impact. He was named Royal Caribbean Legend of the Match for an assist against Sunderland and later won Premier League Player of the Match after another assist in the win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Currently, Chukwueze has two years remaining on his existing contract with the Italian giants and will have to return to the club at the end of his loan spell.
