French outfit Paris FC reach agreement with Real Sociedad to sign Mali star Hamari Traoré
Paris FC are on the brink of securing the services of Mali international star Hamari Traoré in the current summer transfer window.
With the newly promoted Ligue 1 club reaching total agreement with Sociedad, the experience right full-back is expected to complete a move to Paris FC in the coming days.
Despite huge interest, Paris FC, who are keen on making a meaning impact appears to have won the race for the signature of the former Stade Rennes defender.
Paris’s interest in the fullback appeared to wane during the summer, despite at one point looking close to securing his signature.
The experienced defender imminent switch nearly hit a snag along the line, as the club’s minority owner, Red Bull, had put the brakes on the deal, in an attempt to sign young profile players.
However, Paris returned strong, beating OGC Nice (who lost interest due to the collapse of Jonathan Clauss’s move to Bayer Leverkusen) and Lille OSC, as well as Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg, and an unnamed La Liga side to the punch.
Traoré is expected to arrive in France on Friday, where he will sign a contract lasting until 2027 (with an option for an extra year) before joining up with a squad still searching for its first top-flight win, having lost its opening games to Angers SCO (1-0) and Olympique de Marseille (5-2).
