Franco-Algerian star Karim Benzema facing uncertain future at Al Ittihad
France international of Algeria descent Karim Benzema is facing an uncertain future at Al Ittihad as he nears contract expiration.
The former Real Madrid star, whose contract expires at the end of the season has yet to sign anew deal with the Saudi Pro League giants, sparking concerns about his future.
Benzema has yet to receive contract renewal offer from Al Ittihad despite his contract running out in June 2026.
As per reports, the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner had supposedly renewed his deal with the Jeddah-based club have proved to be inaccurate. Currently, it is unknown where the Frenchman will play next season.
Benzema, who turns 38 in December 19, 2025, has racked up 11 goals in 12 appearances in the Saudi Pro League this season, continuing to display his trademark high level of play.
The highly-profiled attacker joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 on a free transfer after his contract with Real Madrid expired. The forward has already played 74 matches for Ittihad, scoring 49 goals and providing 17 assists.
