Dutch-Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emegha breaks silence on Strasbourg suspension
Dutch international of Nigerian descent Emmanuel Emegha has no qualms with Strasbourg following suspension.
The 22-year-old attacker, who is the captain of Strasbourg has been handed a one-match ban, ruling him out of the upcoming French Ligue 1 clash against Toulouse. The decision stem from Emegha’s failure to abide by the values and expectations set in the club’s rules.
“RC Strasbourg Alsace have decided to suspend Emanuel Emegha for the next Ligue 1 Match, this Saturday at Toulouse. This decision was taken after the player recently failed not respect the values and expectations set in the club’s rules”

He will be reintegrated into the squad after this match. No further comment will be made” A statement from the club reads.
In response, the enterprising attacker has accepted the club’s decision to suspend him from the team ahead of the weekend fixture.

Emegha adds that he had a lengthy and honest conversion with Strasbourg president Marc Keller, whom Emegha thanks for his advice. “He knows how much I love this club and how much I work every day. I also extend my thanks to my teammates, the staff, head coach Liam Rosenior and Sporting Director David Weir and everyone associated with the team.“
