Austrian-Nigerian defender David Alaba ruled out of Barcelona, Juventus games due to injury

Austria international of Nigerian descent David Alaba has been ruled out of Real Madrid upcoming games against Juventus and Barcelona due to an injury setback.

Alaba was forced off with an injury at the weekend when Real Madrid narrowly defeated Getafe in the Spanish La Liga, thanks to Kylian Mbappe’s solo goal.

The former Bayern Munich defender was subbed off after first half due to injury, with Raul Asencio taking up his place in the match.

Alaba is expected to sit the sidelines for over a week, making him unavailable for his outfit games against Juventus and Barcelona.

The Spanish giants will lock horns with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday before taking on Barcelona in the El Clasico on Sunday.

This season, Alaba has made just four appearances for Real Madrid and has yet to contribute with a goal or assist.
