Arab Cup 2025: Morocco captain Rabie Hrimat named Best Player of Tournament

Morocco captain Rabie Hrimat was named the Best Player of the 2025 Arab Cup after guiding his national team to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Jordan in the tournament final.

The match, which extended into extra time with two tense additional periods, tested the stamina and resolve of both sides.

Hrimat’s leadership, vision, and composure were pivotal to Morocco’s success. He consistently inspired his teammates, navigating the high-pressure moments of the final and demonstrating the qualities that earned him the individual accolade.

His influence on the pitch highlighted his crucial role in Morocco’s title-winning campaign.

With this recognition, Hrimat becomes only the second Moroccan to claim the Best Player award in Arab Cup history, following Yassine Salhi in 2012. His performances throughout the tournament, marked by consistency and resilience, have further cemented his reputation in Moroccan football.

The triumph was very much a team effort. Goalkeeper Mehdi Benabid was named Best Goalkeeper for his crucial saves and authoritative presence, while the squad collectively showcased cohesion and determination to secure the hard-fought victory.

The victory underscores Morocco’s rising stature in regional football and highlights Rabie Hrimat’s central role in leading the team to glory.

The success at this year’s tournament means Morroc have now won the Arab Cup on two occasions.
