Al Ahly sends young defender Moataz Mohamed to gain experience at Haras El Hodoud

Al Ahly continues its strategy of developing young talent by sending promising defender Moataz Mohamed on loan to Haras El Hodoud SC for the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old confirmed the move through his official Instagram page, writing: “Al-Ahly has agreed to loan me for a season to Haras El-Hodoud.”

“I wish you all the best so that you can return to Al-Ahly, my home, next season,” he added.

Moataz, a product of Al Ahly’s youth system, was once promoted to the senior side under former head coach Pitso Mosimane. Though he later returned to the junior ranks, his leadership and consistent performances kept him in the spotlight.

Currently serving as captain of Egypt’s youth national team, Moataz is a key part of coach Osama Nabih’s squad preparing for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

This loan move gives the young defender a chance to gain more top-flight minutes while staying firmly in Al Ahly’s long-term plans. His development will be closely followed as he aims to return stronger next season.
