Al Ahly clear the air as Ahmed Hassan Kouka return talk brushed aside
Ahmed Hassan Kouka may be a familiar name to Al Ahly fans, but a return to his boyhood club is not on the cards, at least not this summer.
Recent reports suggested the Egyptian giants were eyeing the experienced striker in the current transfer window. But club insiders have firmly shut down the rumors.
“Ahmed Hassan Kouka is a good player, but his name was never put forward for negotiation, and everything being said in this regard is incorrect,” a club source told Kooora.
The same source clarified the situation further, stating, “An agent mentioned Kouka’s name among a group of local and foreign players, but we did not speak to him or about him at all.”
While Al Ahly hold respect for Kouka’s legacy, especially as a product of their own youth system, the club is moving in a different direction. Mohamed Sherif has already been lined up to fill the local forward slot, and the technical team is now searching for an attacker with a new profile.
For now, Kouka’s next move remains uncertain.
