Al Ahly assess Bayern Munich trial for teen star Hamza Karim as Jose Riveiro considers striker role

Al Ahly are carefully considering their next move as teenage forward Hamza Abdel Karim draws interest from German giants Bayern Munich.

Though the Egyptian club has received an official invitation for the young striker to attend a trial in Germany, the final decision rests with head coach José Riveiro.

A club source told Kooora that while Abdel Karim is preparing travel arrangements, his future hangs on whether Riveiro sees him as part of his senior squad plans during Al Ahly’s upcoming training camp in Tunisia. The situation is further complicated by the potential departure of first-team striker Wessam Abu Ali, which could open a space for Hamza to step up.

Meanwhile, fellow youth player Bilal Attia is already set for a trial with Stuttgart, having completed his travel process. Both players are currently in the national U-17 camp as Egypt prepares for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar this November.

Riveiro is expected to return to Cairo within hours to finalize his decision on whether Hamza stays or heads to Munich for the trial.
