Tariq Sektioui salutes Morocco players after Arab Cup triumph

Moroccan coach Tariq Sektioui has praised his players after guiding his team to victory in the 2025 Arab Cup.

Morocco edged Jordan 3-2 after extra time to claim the trophy on Thursday night at Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Speaking after the match, Sektioui emphasized the dedication and professionalism of his squad.

“I am fortunate to have such committed men in the Moroccan national team. Seriousness and discipline were the keys to winning this title, and the Moroccan fans, as always, played a crucial role,” he said.

Sektioui also highlighted the importance of teamwork and support from the Moroccan Football Federation.

“The players delivered throughout the tournament, and this triumph is the result of collective effort and excellent backing from the federation, which ensured we had everything we needed,” he added.

Reflecting on his squad’s mentality, the coach noted, “The players competed with patriotism and dedication. Professionalism and focus in our work often outweigh technique and tactics. Our goal was always to lift the cup, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have such players, given their spirit and contribution.”
