Caen: Saint-Etienne offers 8 million euros for Yann Karamoh
Yann Karamoh Set for Move to Saint-Étienne
Yann Karamoh, the 18-year-old Ivorian-born striker at Stade Malherbe Caen, has indicated that he no longer wishes to continue his career with the Normandy club. Under contract until June 2018, Karamoh has even refused a contract extension, opening the door for potential suitors.
One club already showing strong interest is AS Saint-Étienne. According to L’Équipe, the Greens have submitted an offer of €8 million for the young forward, who impressed last season with 5 goals and 4 assists in Ligue 1.
Initially, Saint-Étienne proposed a lower sum of €5–6 million, which was rejected by Caen president Jean-François Fortin. However, Fortin has left the door open for negotiations, signaling that a deal could be reached if terms meet the club’s expectations.
Karamoh’s decision not to renew his contract appears to have accelerated interest from other clubs, with Saint-Étienne leading the race to secure the promising forward before the new season begins.
