Mohamed Wahbi hails Morocco’s victory over Brazil in U20 World Cup
Morocco U20 coach Mohamed Wahbi could not hide his delight after watching his side secure qualification to the Round of 16 with a famous victory against Brazil in Santiago, Chile.
Speaking with pride, Wahbi highlighted the technical and physical qualities of his players, insisting they have what it takes to continue making history at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
“The team has all the qualifications to do more and go far in this competition,” Wahbi said after the match, underlining the hunger and resilience within his young squad.
He praised the players for their collective effort in a challenging contest, noting their courage during difficult moments. The coach stressed the importance of building not just a team but a united family with belief in its potential. “We succeeded in creating a cohesive group, a family that believes in its chances over time,” he explained.
Looking ahead, Wahbi revealed plans to rotate his squad against Mexico in Valparaíso, giving more players a chance to impress. Morocco currently tops Group C with six points.
