2025 Ballon d’Or: Nigerian’s Chiamaka Nnadozie ranked among world’s top five women’s goalkeepers
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has once again underlined her status as one of the finest shot-stoppers in the game after being ranked fourth in the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
The Brighton goalkeeper enjoyed a stellar year, playing a pivotal role in the Super Falcons’ record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph, where she was deservedly named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
Although she narrowly missed out on the top three, Nnadozie’s consistent excellence has earned her recognition among the top five goalkeepers in the world.
Her recognition at the 2025 Ballon d’Or further cements her reputation as one of the most reliable and talented goalkeepers not just in Africa, but in the world.
The award went to Chelsea and England’s Hannah Hampton, with Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger and Spain’s Cata Coll placing second and third, respectively.
Dutch international Daphne van Domselaar completed the top five alongside Nnadozie.
