Geoffrey Kondogbia set to miss Olympique Marseille’s showdown with PSG due to calf injury
Central African Republic captain Geoffrey Kondogbia will be absent on Sunday when Olympique Marseille takes on Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1.
The midfielder sustained a calf injury ahead of the game and will spend some time on the sidelines.
Kondogbia has been a key figure in Roberto De Zerbi’s setup this season, but his absence comes as a major blow ahead of the big encounter.
He is joined on the injury list by Hamed Junior Traoré, who continues to nurse a thigh problem. During Friday’s training session, Junior Traoré trained separately, while Kondogbia, Amine Harit, and Neal Maupay worked indoors as part of their recovery programmes, according to Get French Football News.
There also remains uncertainty over the availability of defender Nayef Aguerd. The Moroccan has been following concussion protocol, with a final decision on his inclusion expected on Sunday morning.
