Manchester United not giving up on signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen

English outfit Manchester United are still interested in signing Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Napoli forward, who is widely expected to leave the Italian club this summer, has a €75 million release clause that applies exclusively to clubs outside Serie A.

While Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United have shown interest, Al-Hilal remain the only club so far willing to meet the full buyout clause.

Initially, Al-Hilal proposed a €30 million annual salary to Osimhen, but the offer was rejected. However, the Saudi club has not backed down.

According to Corriere dello Sport, they have now tabled a new offer worth €40 million per year.

Despite the strong interest from Al Hilal, Manchester United have not given up on Osimhen and want to try to sign him this summer.

It is understood that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is a big fan of the striker and believes he will strengthen his team to make the side competitive next season.

Meanwhile, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with potential moves to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.
