Strasbourg open talks to sign Moroccan youngster Khalil Fayad from Montpellier

RC Strasbourg Alsace are in talks to secure the signing of Moroccan youngster Khalil Fayad.

The 20-year-old plays for lower division side Montpellier HSC but is set to leave the club this summer.

Following the relegation of Montpellier HSC, Khalil Fayad is one of several players linked with departures.

The young midfielder has interest from several clubs after showing quality in the past year.

Sources have revealed that Strasbourg are one of the interested clubs and have already contacted Montpellier.

Negotiations are already underway as Strasbourg aim to seal the deal as soon as possible.

It is understood that Montpellier will be looking at a fee between €3.5 and € 4 million for the Moroccan talent.

Checks have revealed that Strasbourg will send Khalil Fayad on loan next season for him to gain regular playing time to help his development.

There will be a plan in place to integrate the youngster into the Strasbourg first team in the 2026/27 football season.
